The MD State BBQ Bash

I've been a MD State BBQ Bash "consumer" since my wife & I moved to Bel Air, MD almost 8 years ago.  It has always been an awesome experience & has been the source of great family fun.  Now that I have the opportunity to "run" this thing & see it from a different side, I can still say it is an awesome experience, albeit a different kind of experience.  The amount of work that is put into this event from SO many different people is incredible.  AND, these are people with full-time jobs!  This "BBQ thing" is just something they LOVE to do.  It is impressive.  It is an undertaking that builds over 7-9 months & is now coming into very sharp focus.  My plan is to post a few more of these "Beyond the Handiwipes" entries & share some of the "juicy" details that make the MD State BBQ Bash happen.  Until then, please allow me to thank Craig Ward (Chief BBQ Muckety Muck), Jay Van Deusen (More Power!), Donna Flaherty (Volunteer & Exhibitor Guru), & Our Beer Guys - Dick Molinaro & Bill Vanden Eynden.  Stay tuned for more & check our our NEW BBQ site (Thanks Piccirilli Group!) at http://www.mdbbq.com.
